Description
This dataset characterizes the baseline drift of Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor (MOS) gas sensors under sinusoidal temperature modulation, with a specific focus on the impact of varying preheating durations. The data captures the critical stabilization phase immediately following sensor power-on under a strictly experimental environment. The collection comprises 23 distinct experimental sessions, covering a wide range of preheating times from 1 hour to 154 hours. Three types of MOS sensors were sourced from two different manufacturers across three production batches to ensure diversity. The dataset includes responses to six target Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)—ethanol, ethyl acetate, butanol, hexanol, butyl acetate, and ethyl caproate. The experiments primarily focus on low-concentration detection, ranging from 1 ppm to 5 ppm. This dataset serves as a valuable resource for developing algorithms related to drift compensation, rapid sensor warm-up strategies, and feature extraction from temperature-modulated signals in electronic nose systems. The source code for processing this dataset and conducting rapid gas detection is available at https://github.com/guolisuccess-web/PreheatDriftMOS/tree/main.
